Let's Go Cariño
In February 2016, my partner and I left behind the comforts of home to ride our bicycles from Mexico to as far south as we could make it. We crowdfunded $1 per mile, raising $6500 and cycling 6500 miles. 14 months later we made it to Northern Peru. In 2018 we hope to fly back to Peru to continue our journey south, eventually reaching our goal – Patagonia – by bicycle.

Learn to Adapt
It was only a few weeks in before I started to feel like I was losing my mind. The constant heat, humidity, traffic, mosquitos and language barrier were hard for me on a daily basis. I knew I had to learn to adapt and keep pushing through my limitations. One particularly hard day, we pulled over on a busy road as we were cycling into Colima. My legs covered in bug bites and my fingernails encased in dirt, I asked Mehedi to take a photo. "I want to remember this," I told him.
