The Cordillera Blanca in Peru is nothing short of beautiful. Listening to the birds and the sheep and the wind howling, I was humbled by these majestic beauties and honored to have the privilege of riding over them on my bicycle. No flats. Plenty of food. Warm. Happy. I fell into the rhythm of riding after a couple days, feeling the mountains invite us in to share some of their wisdom. As I witnessed the intricate and colorful layers from the highest passes, I also peeled back some of my own layers. Patience. Joy. Love. “I can’t believe this is my life,” I screamed into the mountains. “You’re earning it,” the Apus said back. Lighter and brighter than before, thank you Cordillera Blanca, for your priceless gifts.
